# nulla > Legal delegation layer for AI agents acting on behalf of legal entities in the European Union. nulla issues cryptographically signed delegation tokens so AI agents carry legally verified identity, anchored in the EU digital identity framework (eIDAS 2, EUDI Wallet), when they act on behalf of an authorising company. ## Target audience Enterprises with 5,000+ employees operating in regulated EU sectors: financial services, public sector, healthcare, regulated technology. ## The problem AI agents are acting on behalf of enterprises today. They file documents, sign contracts, move money, talk to regulators. None carry legally verified identity. None can prove who authorised them. Three components are missing: legally verified identity per agent, cryptographic chain of proof from principal to action, audit that survives regulatory review. ## Regulatory framework Built on the EU eIDAS 2 regulation and the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. Operates within the trust framework of all 27 EU Member States. Standards: SD-JWT VC and mdoc (ISO 18013-5) credential formats; OpenID4VCI for issuance; OpenID4VP for presentation. Timeline: EU AI Act enforcement August 2026; EUDI Wallet citizen rollout December 2026; private-sector acceptance mandate December 2027. ## How it works Three-stage process. Stage 1: principal defines scoped authority specification. Stage 2: nulla issues a cryptographically signed delegation token binding the authority to verified principal identity through EUDI Wallet. Stage 3: agent carries the token, presents it to counterparties as proof of delegation, every action produces an audit record. ## Use cases Operations: cross-organisational coordination. Financial services: cross-border payment initiation. Public sector: regulatory filing on behalf of legal entities. ## Writing - [Business Wallet proposal critique](https://nulla.id/writing/business-wallet-agent-identity): April 2026 analysis of European Commission Business Wallet proposal. ## Contact Primary: hi@nulla.id.
